The NJOY Electronic Cigarette is one of a number of alternative smoking products to recently come to market in light of increasing numbers of smoking bans nationwide.  With more and more public places banning smoking, what can a smoker do?

You can try the NJOY.  The NJOY Electronic Cigarette is a computer-controlled electronic device that, when inhaled, emits a tobacco flavored nicotine mist that resembles smoke, but isn’t.  You get a jolt of nicotine and tobacco flavor, but you exhale only water vapor and propylene glycol.

The NJOY looks like a cigarette, tastes like a cigarette and feels like a cigarette, but with the following advantages:

  • There’s no first hand or second hand smoke.
  • There’s no combustion at all.  Nothing actually burns.
  • There’s no tar or carbon monoxide.
  • There’s no ash to discard.
  • You can "smoke" your NJOY anywhere you like, even where smoking is illegal.

The NJOY is battery operated by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that is easily replaced.  Cartridges come in different flavors and strengths, so you can pick one that suits your taste.  The NJOY also comes in several different styles:

  • The NPRO looks like a traditional cigarette
  • The NCIG looks like an old-style cigarette in a holder
  • The NGAR looks like a cigar
